Asalamu alikum ladies...
It's been a while since we posted our last blog post…
We have been extremely busy planning and designing the future of IMENE CO which will all be revealed in due course In sha Allah.
We weren’t too sure on where to begin with when re-introducing blog posts again until just over the weekend I realised I really wanted to share something that has literally changed the way I take care of my hair naturally without taking any supplements. This stuff has really changed my life and being someone who doesn’t entirely trust all these hair growth/care vitamins in the market, I found this was the best and safest method.
A bit about my hair prior to starting the treatment…
Being a hijab, our hair is most likely constantly tightly packed in a bun with a few layers of fabric on a daily basis for long hours. From this our scalps are bound to become dry and affect our roots. This is where the issue really is. Since starting to wear the hijab I neglected my hair care and it has gradually become drier and almost feels like it’s dead.
I would listen to my mum once in a while and apply the good old olive oil (treatment to practically any problem or disease apparently in my household) but it did nothing. I just gave up and for 9 years straight I just left my hair to be.
Anyways…
So here’s what I figured out. After a few days of pure research when I got so sick of my hair and feeling like I just want to shave it all off and start fresh I figured the perfect mix of natural oils which showed a result on the texture and overall health of my hair after the first use.
Having done some research I noted down a few ingredients which serve different benefits and headed straight to my local Holland & Barrett to pick them up.
Each ingredient served a different function for my hair. The ingredients I used were Mustard Seed Oil, Coconut Oil, Jamaican Caster Oil and Almond Oil. I then got myself a self preserving jar from Wilkos and added a 1/4 of each into the jar to create an oil blend to last me a month. I also melted the Coconut Oil prior to adding it into the mix so it is a lot easier to blend.
Because I was so desperate I started off by oiling my hair twice a week and then gradually after I started noticing the growth, strength and hydration benefits I now only oil my hair once a week on my days off and keep it in for a good 8 hours before washing it off.
Guys, I literally swear by this oil blend. The Castor oil helps with growth, the mustard seed oil helps with restoring strength, the coconut oil helps with hydration and shine and the almond oil also helps with strength. I mean even my baby hairs grew back in the space of a month.
Another huge benefit is that when I am wearing my hijab for long hours, I don't feel like my scalp is dry and it is definitely a lot more softer and comfortable.
I hope you will equally benefit from this blog post and if you have any hair care suggestions leave them in the comments section below!
